Gap Inc is strengthening traceability across its global supply chain through a new partnership with Inspectorio.

The retail giant hopes to improve visibility, supplier collaboration and quality management across its brand portfolio.

The move will see Gap Inc and its family of brands, including Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta, use AI-powered technology to support data collection and automate tasks across its supply chain operations.

The retailer said the partnership will help it build greater product traceability across a complex international supplier network, while also supporting faster and more informed decision-making.

Inspectorio chief executive Chirag Patel said the partnership would help Gap Inc streamline supply chain performance and turn transparency into a competitive advantage.

For Gap Inc, the agreement marks another sign of how large retailers are using AI beyond customer-facing tools, with supply chain efficiency, visibility and traceability becoming a bigger area of investment.
