Aspinal of London names former Harrods retail director as new CEO

Aspinal of London has named Laura Brown as its new chief executive.

She leaves her post as CEO of Dubai Mall to join the British designer and was formerly retail director at Harrods from 2014 to 2022 , having also previously worked for Bicester Village and Kildare Village.

Aspinal of London was founded in 2001 by British entrepreneur Iain Burton as a British heritage brand.

After a turbulent few years, during which the brand closed a number of its stores, the company rallied and is now seeing good growth.

Brown said: “I am delighted to be joining the Aspinal of London team at such a pivotal time in their journey as a British success story.”

“Aspinal’s accelerated growth both in the UK and internationally over the past few years has set the stage for an exciting new chapter with so much more yet to come.”

Iain Burton, now Aspinal chairman, described Brown’s luxury retail experience as ‘best in class’ and said: “People make businesses and brands. In these challenging, difficult headwinds and uncertain climate, it’s great to have someone of Laura’s calibre to guide us at our helm.”
